... I could really use some help here. Sometimes I have an idea so I sit down to write something, but when I'm done I look at it and I think "what the heck did I just write???" I can never seem to be able to figure out when I write poetry and when I write prose. It's often difficult for me to discern free verse from prose, causing me to wonder all the time if I'm posting prose in the Open Poetry forum when I should be doing it in Passions in Prose or vice versa. Is there any concrete way to tell poetry from prose? Hey, you professional poets out there... this is directed to you! Thanks... ---Emmy |

Don't feel stupid, Emmy - I don't know what the hell is going on 90% of the time! (Maybe that's why I get headaches?) |

Emmy.......if you are following rules of structure, you're writing structured poetry. If you're not, you're writing free verse. |
