Can you help me find Little Charlie Chipmunk (poem)

Okay, I have been looking for a particular poem for a while now.  When my sister and I were children my mother used to read us a poem out of a collection of poetry.

The line I know is "Little Charlie Chipmunk/Was A Chatter Mercy Me!..." then something about he chatted through breakfast, he chatted through tea, he drove his mother nuts, et cetera.

I have searced many sites and poetry find resources but I can't find it.  I thought it might have been by John Ciardi because it seemed like his style.  If you can help me find this poem I would appreciate it.  Thanks.
