I wonder what the weather’s like,
On Cape Cod at end of summer?
Is it hot, or is it cold,
Or is it just a bummer?
Mid October is the date,
A Kansas couple might,
Jump aboard a fancy plane,
And take an eastbound flight.
Tourist traps I do not need,
To see people is not the reason,
But I like some things to see,
Not things shut down for the season.
I’d even like to see a whale,
Or two or maybe three,
If those whales are still a’ swimming,
In the Cape Cod sea,
Perhaps a friendly teacher lady,
Will give some good advice,
To a farm boy from the plains,
If she would be so nice.

Tim, don't ever step into Nan's car, not even when she asks you to, because you never know if it will let you out again

Ask Nan about that.

Beautiful area you're going to visit and I envie you, going over to where Nan lives.
If you see her, give her a big hug from me.

Titia

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

As summer wanes on Cape Cod’s shore
The tourists aren’t aware
October is our special time.
Fall weather is our fare.

We’re harvesting our cranberries
We’re pumpkin picking too
There’s much to do on autumn days
We’ll find some fun for you.

The hunchbacks still are in the bay
So plan a day to sail.
They’ll give you an exquisite show.
T’will be a whaling tale.

So pleased I’ll be to meet you both
In fall’s October sun.
Check out this website for some stuff
Let’s plan a bit of fun.

Tim - This is GOOD news - Check out Stan's website for some ideas, then we'll email with some fine tuning of your thoughts...

(Note to Deer - I can't find nanode in the dictionary, but I found nanoid - Is that close enough?)
