Every poet should explore, through their poetry, the reasons that they write and the nature of their role as a poet. I think you have done a great job of expressing what poetry means to you. Great job. |

Thank you, Kirk. A Native American friend told me that I needed to share my medicine, when I questioned further all she would say was think about it. This Poem was the result. Words are my medicine. Read and live and love and heal! |

even before i read your response, i felt a strong native american flavor in this piece. i applaud the fact that you can use a repetitive, chanting-like structure, but at the same time make the piece so descriptive. i really enjoyed this. i can't wait to see more of your work on ca. Karneliann, thank you also......I believe that spirit has called, blessed and impressed my soul with a unique insight and perspective........when the writings come, they come almost effortless and with little or no revision.
