our eyes meet, magnetic poetic, your lips touch mine, erotic electric, arms encircle me, euphoric idyllic, together we, synchronic rhythmic. and you still wonder... do I love you? a query you should never have to voice, those words remaining within, answered by tenderness of touch, by sweet emotion, by thoughts mirrored in chestnut irises, that brush softly across you, painting images deep within memory, while this soul speaks to yours, saying all the words ever needing to be said. warmhrt [This message has been edited by warmhrt (edited 12-30-1999).] |

GREAT!!! I love the idea of the eyes brushing across the body...the fist stanza was very unique in its wording, yet was very blatant in its meaning....good work. |

The line 'you still wonder ... do I love you' sticks out for me. I suppose it's intended as a rhetorical question but I'd rather see a little more description here. Obviously the speaker feels this 'bond' between the two but what about trying to show reasons or nueroses when it comes to the partner? The theme of this poem made me smile a bit. If you don't need to use words to express your feelings then why write a poem? Just being a little facetious, Brad |

Brad, I don't know the answer to that last question. You have much more experience at this poetry stuff than I do, so why don;t you try to answer that one. I'm just a newbie at this. No reasons are needed for the first question...almost everyone in a relationship has asked their partner at one time or another, "Do you still love me?", if even in a playful way. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment, if only facetiously. warmhrt |
