My heart is a steady stream
as it flows from my chest
down my finger tips
and into the awaiting goblet.
Raise the cup to your clear crystal lips
my sweet,
and drink long and deep.
Drink and tell me what you taste,
for the elixir you intake
has no hint of color.
You wanted inside my heart
sweet one,
but as you truly find what I hold inside;
Ask yourself something,
do you still want me?

I have no answers for you
wonderful one,
For my heart is beyond empty
and the tainted fluid you now taste
doesn’t even feel as if
it belongs to me anymore.
You wanted me, now you know what to expect
so please, I beg you, taste long and deep;
Because I have no answers
about me
for you or myself.

I really loved the line, "... my heart is beyond empty". I'm going to have to read this one a couple of times, Alain, to see if I've really got it. Somehow, I think you're tyring to poison your lover and be done with it. Am I right?

Well, I guess I was trying to say that I wasn't what the "lover" thought I was, and that she should look deeper becuase what was really inside might poison her. So, yeah, poison is right. Thanks doreen.
