Hunting Ducks......the alternative |

They are a dangerous breed the hunting ducks with vicious bills and hissing quacks. Unlike their cousin, the eating duck they take no guff and slice off heads with sharp flaps and a sharper temper. I've seen them drag down boxing size men and rip through broom wielding grandma's, one has even been rumored to kill gators though I find that hard to believe since I've never known a gator brave enough to try the might of Hunting Ducks. One stole my shoe, well I suspect it stole my shoe because I was missing one last Tuesday and they can be incredibly mean that way, like there's another way to be mean. I once was confronted by Hunting Ducks and though many don't believe me because I'm here to tell the tale, they were about to kill me, for sport of course, whoever heard of Hunting Ducks that eat people or kill for profit, that would truly be strange, and just as they were about to strike I replied calmly, though I was hardly calm, "I only eat chicken and fish occasionly", and they laughed, well I suspected they laughed by the tone of their quack and flew off into the murdering sky. Beware of Hunting Ducks. ****just fooling around, thought I'd play up on the title of my other poem "Hunting Ducks"***** [This message has been edited by Trevor (edited 02-02-2001).] |

Hey Trev, this is a good response to your other post. Nice whimsical relief. Considering the tone, I don't think you are looking for critique here. So Well, that's the closest I could find to a duck. Pete |

...strangely enough that's exactly what the Hunting Ducks look like... |

...did someone say something about a couple of strange ducks?... "It is wisdom to know others; It is enlightenment to know one's self" - Lao Tzu [This message has been edited by warmhrt (edited 02-02-2001).] |

Ever see Courage The Cowardly Dog? This reminds me of something out of that cartoon. I enjoyed it! Hmmm... was this born of a guilty conscience? Mere |
