I wrote this poem about a guy that I had a crush on for soooo long. On his birthday, I would want to give him something, but felt as though he didn't understand what I had already given him; time, effort, thoughts, poems, in essence me. It sort of recounts the feelings of having to just suffice to say, I would love you if you let me and get on with my own pathetic existence. The I have friends part is a sort of sarcastic thing that I threw in there to be like "all this stuff with you that makes me sad oh and I have friends, not really" Throughout the poem I try to at first focus on this guy and ask him typical birthday questions, but the later part would be my then wish to tell him how I had been for him, only him and make love me for perhaps my misery I don't know if it is a delight to be a temporary mystery or not, but I appreciate all the interest. once again good now that i know who the poem is about it all fits into place.Keep it up.& keep making us think about it more and more. ------------------ The wise man is the storm prays God,not for safety from danger, but for deliverance from fear.It is the storm within which endangers him,not the storm without. ~~Ralh Waldo Emerson~~ |
