The lifeless corpse of forever the belief less hole in time How can thou express the pain a death tale more heartlessly told than society What heartless story haunts thy life of devils or of angels or of both In the tomb of John F. Kennedy What life of pain is this? What deathless life? What horrible ecstasy? What struggle to remain? What whiteness and blackness? What helpless horror? Stories told are perfect, but those untold are more perfect therefore let the mouths tell more Not to a listening ear, but more so tell to the soft melodies of no sound Fair truth, above the clouds, thou cannot leave Thy life, nor ever can those clouds be gone Strong heart, never, never can thou find Though coming near the dream yet do not wither You cannot fade, though thou has not my soul Forever will I yearn, and you be fair Truthful, truthful valleys that will not run dry Your water nor ever your banks will disappear And truthful heart weaver untouched Forever melting songs forever new More truthful happiness! more truthful, truthful happiness! forever true and unbroken to be enjoyed Forever loving and forever unwavering All needing human hearts far above That leaves a soul sorrowful and clogged A lifeless kiss and fading touch What is this appearing in the fog? To what white bride, vanished God Lead thou that raises the oceans What beautiful flower by tree or house Or lakeside cottage with peaceful fog Is emptied of this calm, this truthful sky? Beautiful flower, thy music for evermore Will be playing and not a soul to tell Why thou are happy, can ever return Human shape! Lovely soul! with attitude of soft rocks and trees needed With gentle melodies and the blowing wind Thou deaf ears, thou teases us of hearing As does eternity Freezing eternity! You shall remain, in the middle of your self Than the world, a friend to man, to whom you are Innocence is truth, truth innocence that is it All you need to know on earth and all you need to know |
