Explosive hate rips through my mind the need to kill is taking its toll. The hunger for blood and thirst for slaughter burns in my heart like flaming coal Blood like fire races throughout igniting hatred deep in my soul. ------------------ Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. For some reason, I really like the stanza end rhyme. I think it works very well here. You have some powerful images here but I don't know what they are about -- Why is this person angry? Why does this person feel hate? This may not what you are shooting for but I was left wondering. Thanks, Brad |

Am I guessing correctly that you meant this only to be a comment as to how this person was on that particular day? ------------------ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

In all honesty, this work was more about the feeling of energy in the words and rythym. The feelings expressed lent themselves to the energy I was exploring... Something about love and tenderness just doesn't go well with vigor and explosiveness..... ------------------ Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. JP |
