The worm on the left requires killing by ice. The worm on the right requires killing by fire. The mechanical rattlesnake in the middle requires killing by sacrifice -- it takes life as it loses life. The sword cuts deeper if it's held in check the power allowed to build until the last moment. The choicest, most difficult cut, is always dead-center. |

Marq, I'm feeling pretty dense after reading you're poem, and not understanding the meaning behind the words. Is it about one of those games? Sorry...wish I could comment further, but I feel that if I don't "get" it, then I can not critique it. Kristine the poet's pen...gives to airy nothing A local habitation and a name ~ Shakespeare |

I wondered if somebody would find me out on this. Yes, this is about a nintendo game. It sounds like it could be deeply symbolic when you read it, which is why I posted it and it can certainly be taken that way, but it is basically just about a nintendo game. |

yes it could be taken to a deeper level...that sometimes happens in a piece whether you intend it or not...subconscious is never shut off...always stirring something up...the meaning if there is a deeper one would have the most value to you to understand...explore it and try playstation my favorite... |

Diana B. My 15 year old son loves playstation. Actually, despite the subject of this poem, I rarely play nintendo -- I prefer my chess computer when I'm looking to waste my time. Thank you for your comments! |

Marq, I admit I read it earlier and was a little too confused to comment. But I see it now (duh). Clever. Thanks. Regards Dan |
