Lost in Fantasy......

I am lost in a fantasy of what I have lost,
Too much water under the bridge now and great is the cost.
I no longer can grasp what is real and true,
My heart is overshadowed with so much blue.
Lost in what I thought I could gain in my mind,
It was always just something I thought I would find.......

So when I dream.......it is in great expanses of my mind,
My heart is now cold and  blind.
I have too much to loose to let my emotions truly go,
I just hold on and keep my words slow.
Calculated rooms of my heart is what I let free,
When it is oh so much more I want to be.

Fantasy has taken hold of me,
Reality was too hard to see.
Pain took hold of my best laid plans,
Now I am letting out all of my demands.
Kept only by knowing I have business to take care of,
I wait and long for the day I can rise above.

Yes.....it is a cold world that I am living in,
A world laden with my own failure and sin.
No where to go and hide from the weather,
So I just run into the nearest shelter.
The storm is raging like a beast .....calling for my life,
Now the waves rush over me.....drowning and cutting like a knife.

My fantasy is now a reality once again,
And I realize fantasy was never my friend.
It will lead you astray every time and take you down,
If you believe it's cruel lie you will be bound.
You will find it laughing at your most sincere dreams,
It will unveil it's original cruel and harsh schemes.

Do not follow an illusion ...........a fantasy that promises romance,
Only trust the truth which shows us our true stance.
It will never lead you astray........and make you follow a lie,
But it will let  you see how your fantasy must die.
The end is always more important than the beginning,
The walk along the way is where we learn the meaning.

Life is not always  what you make it.......but rather what it makes of  you,
Will you to truth be true?
Follow and gird the truth and  you will have a life that is real,
Follow fantasy and the lie...... and you will have a life that will steal.
Fantasy will teach you imagination is what matters,
But only when you find the truth..........will your lying dreams scatter.
