Eyes Pt. 1

I see that look on your face
I’ve felt it on my own
I know what goes on behind those eyes
I have seen through them
They’re filters, you know,
and I think they lie
They pick and choose
See this, or only that
Add things up and produce an empty sum
Pregnant with malice
They are entropy-- they make things wear down
They select sights of their own choosing
Categorize and discard
Categorize and discard
They are evil, unseemly eyes
Shameful to wear
A joy to be rid of
Sad to see on your face

I would appreciate critical analysis, as I have come to feel, after reading some of the poems found here, that I really don't even know what poetry is.
