Seventy-Seven Days, came and went.
Then I fell out of love with you.
It was never meant to be true.
I never thought I'd be here,
after the darkness rose.
I never dreamt I'd be here,
after the dust settled down.

Seventy-Seven moments, came and went.
I cried many tears,
felt my world shatter...
drowning in my own sorrows.

The storm passed while I was sleeping,
I didn't see the hurricane coming.
and here he is, holding my heart
loving me just like he should.

Lifting me up with his strength,
the weakness leaving my soul.
He brings out the best in me,
shuts down my insecurities.

loves me unconditionally,
seventy-seven sleepless nights,
was worth the pain,
worth the tears,
because I've got love,
he's got me.

Nothing will stop us,
from flourishing.
I will love him for the next
seventy-seven years,
and beyond..forevermore

and you'll always be wondering
if I still think of you
but your irrelevant to me now

Well said, Kellie. First time I have read your work, but it won't be the last.

Sometimes the pain of things not meant to be seems unbearable, but has to happen for a greater purpose to be served.  When that purpose is there, cherish with both eyes facing forward.

Loved that stance ... interesting thing is I have been with the my fiance' for nearly 77 months and that is why he is still my fiance'....wish it was this easy for me!

This definitely shows a path forward and as far as the ending, I have experienced this resolve. It happened when I had a psychotic ex try for a year to lure me back in.

The whole poem reads like a song in my mind.

I searched archives for some of your work because you've been here for a long time like I have. It's good to see you, and it was interesting to see the progression and growth through your poetry.

Enjoyed!

Kellie, it's been a long time. Looks like you're wearing your sage very well. You've come a long way, and it's good to see you again.
