Fair to middlin' of nowhere

I can’t be your ball of sunshine today.
Clouds moved in early this morning,
then it began to rain.
When I couldn’t get the lid off
by myself
to take my medicine,
the frustration and pain
turned to tears
and fell like rain.
My bravado depleted,
I feel defeated
with unknown miles ahead.
I have a low threshold
that doesn’t help me at all.
Neither does the not knowing,
that makes the pain so worrisome.
I never claimed to be a person
of great fortitude,
stoic or stalwart when
it comes to hurting.
So I can’t be your ball of sunshine today.
Clouds moved in early this morning.
and it looks like rain.

((hugs)) Lori,

Seeing as I've never spent one day being anyone's ball of sunshine, I think it's fair for me to say you are allowed the day off.

I've known a few "balls of sunshine" in my time.  To be honest, I never understood what drove them.  If they were bringing everyone else sunshine, what was their own personal sunshine?  their motivation?  I do know this, when they suffer, everyone around them feels it too.

Know you're loved and appreciated, Lori...and if I had any way to bring you sunshine on a day it appears you need some, I surely would.

Bless your hearts!

The pain is one thing, the not knowing what or why is another. Hopefully at the Neurologist on Tuesday will get some answers. All I know at this point is I don't have gout. Sorry I'm not replying individually, but typing is still uncomfortable even with lidocaine patches.
Trying to make lemonade out of the situation but can't quite seem to squeeze the little puckers. ~L
