My Life's Been One Mistake |

A million miles of highway- And some stops along the way- Had a lot to do with shaping… This old piece of clay. A fair amount of heartache- Mistakes I now regret… Some people I have known and loved- Some, I wish I hadn’t met. I guess that’s just a part of- The farce we know as life. Mistakes made raising children- Mistakes choosing a wife… Mistakes too numerous to count- A sad old loser make- I guess to sum the whole thing up- My life’s been one mistake! |

Well John, You can do what I do and gather all the mistakes of your life into one big pile, then light it up. Makes for one heck of a bonfire, and you can even pretend to find warmth in it... better yet, allow the burning of it to grant you peace in walking away from it. There are better paths ahead but you never see them when eyes are still focused on what's been left behind. |

Learn from the past. Use it for that, but not as a deterrent for living forward nor as an excuse for giving up. You present the struggle well here. Enjoyed! "I know this love will tear me to pieces |

I guess that’s just a part of- The farce we know as life. Mistakes made raising children- Mistakes choosing a wife… Unfortunately life doesn't come with a manual, we've all made mistakes, life changing, and boy oh boy, especially raising children...we grow with them...and grow from all our mistakes....however, I ponder, were they really mistakes or the path we were meant to take to learn from...to guide us onto a more peaceful life...don't be hard on yourself...but more so, maybe praise the experience of it all...it's all a learning curve until the day we pass on to another realm. Enjoyed reading this.... |
