In loving memory of Dennis Rhoden, 6/11/49-6/16/21 Missing You I know you are still with me giving me comfort and love. The smallest of things brought you to mind this morning And then I began to weep. I was putting my hair in a ponytail, as I pulled the hair tie tight and twisted it, I thought about your ponytail. I started doing it for you. Eventually you tried to do it on your own with much difficulty. I paid close attention to how I did it so I could give you pointers. You finally got the hang of it. And that was all it took for the tears to fall. I didn’t try to fight them. You deserved them all. LGR(C)6/26/21 [This message has been edited by Lori Grosser Rhoden (07-03-2021 05:29 PM).] |

Thank you, I think you're the kind of guy that can appreciate it when a man goes out doing what he loved. He said many times that when his time came he wanted to be on his Harley. I'm a firm believer that God is with us in the darkest times and will bless us there. I feel so much gratitude for so many kindhearted people who helped transform a tragedy into a tribute to a very special man. I find great comfort in that. ~L |

The ending here is beautiful Lori. You are 100% right. The tears should not be held back, and the precious memories need to be embraced. |

Michael, Dennis didn't want a funeral. We had a Celebration of Life for him instead. Celebrating his life, and the man he was, rather than simply mourning his loss has given me great comfort. ~L |
