Too Nice It’s been said to me, on more than one occasion, that I’m too nice. It wasn’t meant as a compliment. Consternation! How can that be? It’s not a vice. It’s the golden rule we know! In good faith we show how we wish to be treated. How we are greeted is not a guarantee of quid pro quo. The who I be to anybody is my choice to make. I will not take a hard line over being kind. I can’t do it. It’s not in my mind. That’s all there's to it. I will endeavor to uplift, with my gift God given. It’s my life I’m livin’ in a world of discontent. Spreading the light of love is my intent. No matter how it was intended, to me it's a compliment to be thought of as too nice. It is my coping device. LGR(C)6/5/21 |
