For many, many years our good friend Michael Mack would post the same poem here in the forums during the Memorial Day weekend. He always said he didn't expect others here to comment; that wasn't why he was posting it. Mike posted it because he believed it was important for us to remember those no longer here. Mike is sorely missed. But still remembered. See this poem at http://www.netpoets.com/poems/life/15... "At times we may forget that soldiers are just people like everyone else. They laugh, they cry, they have sweethearts and mothers, birthdays and favorite cars - and they die. Sometimes when we are celebrating victories we forget about those who made it possible, those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country." Michael Mack 1999 |

so sad this day, and then, to come across these heartfelt words by Balladeer...he was an artist, with such a sense of humor, I fondly remember him, and his many words of love and kindness... Thank you Ron for posting |
