The Sweet Song I stood on the stoop, as we've no porch to rock on, Watched you fill sky, coming fast, a southern song Covering the blue sky with grey, tendrils dropping 'long the way You began your deep tune, booming your claim To cover the ground with spring scented rain. Covering the blue sky with grey, tendrils dropping 'long the way The air suddenly sweetened with scented delight The skies filling fast, taking dusk to night. Covering the blue sky with grey, tendrils dropping 'long the way How swift you might change, in a March laden moment Swift to calm? Or might you foment? Covering the blue sky with grey, tendrils dropping 'long the way What might dark of night bring? I'll not fear; I'm under His wing. (C) KRJ 26 Mar 2021 |

Sunshine, I could smell that rain from here, such a beautiful cadence with this, & the close perfection. Enjoyed.. Sky! ~Do You Know That Feeling |
