Midday is as black as midnight, Silence so loud it hurts your ears. Do not ask your maker for light, Dark and quiet comes from your jeers. Leave your gods and deities be, Beg not for a godly way out. You are the cause of this, you know, Each man his prison brings about. If it is paradise you seek, Try living your life so it fits. A light will shine, words will be spoke, And out of this jam you will get. ©February 11, 2017 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Yes, you're quite right in your poetry Jerrypat. The world around us may be going to hell in a hand-basket, but we don't have to carry it or put any more into it. ...just bein' Bluesy |

strong emotions on those 1st 2 lines, Jerry. Carry the lesson well...right you are, we carry our own poison ourselves, not to blame life if it doesn't share its gifts with you. |

Good seeing you here, jjote, and you are so ever right. Take hold of yourself and make things work out "for" you not reaching out for others to do for you. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
