Some memories,
resting like old broken bottles
in the watery bottom,
are in time,
sanded and smoothed
into colorful sea glass
It’s from those jagged
and so recently discarded shards
that suffering begins
and tears bleed profusely
from the open wounds

How very eloquently written this is.  It seemed to me to be lovely, a little sad, and hopeful all at the same time.   Thank you.

I think our capacity for wholeheartedness can never be greater than our willingness to be broken-hearted."  Brene Brown

Thanks for reading and leaving such a nice reply, Al. If it wasn't for us girls, there'd be no Pip!

Stick around awhile, eh?

Yeah, Bluesy,
Us guys are tired of having to pull the weight for you girls.
Eloquent is an excellent word for the way you write. However, you do not write of eloquent topics. The juxtaposition is perfection. A little like putting a gun to your head, pulling the trigger but leaving no spatter. Bizarre analogy, I know. You give us guts and heart without gore. ~L

Ha-ha-ha! I LOVE your analogy here, Miss Lori:
quote:
"A little like putting a gun to your head, pulling the trigger but leaving no spatter"
...but then, you wouldn't really know this, would you?

Thanks for reading and leaving such a nice reply! I appreciate you very much!

"Thanks so much, Miss Pinky. Have I been sharing this seat with you for longer than I thought?" "What seat, Bluesy?" "You know, Miss Pinky, here on this emotional roller-coaster!" "Ya, well...maybe, Bluesy. Just don't try any of your 'funny stuff' or you might find your nose where your ear used to be!" "Um, yeah, sure, Miss Pinky. Anything you say. I'll just sit quietly and you won't even know I'm here!"
