She has a familiar walk ...you've never seen She knows all things ...you can't know She repeats things ...you heard but once She wears things ...you wore out She aches for love ...you smile for a dime She clings to her teddy ...you shot the bear She doesn't rise early ...you're always late She reads Edgar’s Raven ...you find birds a bore She plots your demise ...while you sleep it off She shades the bird's cage ...placing pennies on your eyes ...just bein' Bluesy |

You run much deeper than I do, I'm just an old song writer that loves to write lyrics. However, the beautiful ambiguity of this piece creates images that could outfit the reader's imagination with the comfort of recognition. Very much enjoyed! true love never looks after it's own interests |

Bluesy this poem is downright creepy! I don't think of creepy when I think of your writing. So, for me, this is kinda new and different. Of course you did it very well. The pennies on the eyes gives me the willies. ~L |

Not to worry, Miss Lori. I'll not make it a habit. I like for you to see all sides, and you're keen to notice things as they are. Thank you so much! ![]() ...just bein' Bluesy |
