Tonight I'm sighing big relief
Got through Christmas hiding my grief
Greeted all with a happy face
Of my sadness there was no trace

I painted on the holiday cheer
Faking I was glad it was here
Put on my holly jolly mask
Finding it all a dreadful task

All were filled with excited glee
Celebratng so merrily
Through it all the laughter did reign
As I smiled and swallowed my pain

Hate to admit it but its true
Without your love and without you
Theres one thing I must proclaim
The holidays won't be the same

Forgive me, my dear Miss Pinky...but there was no one there who knew you.

Like you, I'm happy to see this one go too. Next year will be better for both of us...you'll see!

P.S If you run short of Schnapps on New Years, you know how to find me...left at the light and gravity will take care of the rest!

Thank you Yann for reading ~ I agree with you, those who are missing lost loved ones always feel it more at the holidays. Alana

"Daughter?" "College"? I thought you were 17 like me with an old, hand-me-down, rusty Chevrolet!

Pinkystrings,
You play with a person's heartstrings like a hillbilly plays a fiddle. I was really feeling bad for you. Dang woman, great job!!

Those crazy "Yoopers" are your neighbors, Miss Pinky! I managed to stash some of their stuff before the internet and YouTube came into our lives. I'm glad you liked it!

Oh! You, Miss Pinky? Older than moi? Everyone is older than me!
Are you too old to play hopscotch with a walker? How about a race with one? Here's what you and I would look like if we were in the same home!

Ha-ha-ha! Look at you! You're so old! Ha-ha! Just look at me go! Ha-ha-ha! I won!
