A woman walks past herself She stuck out her tongue, said boo She smiled about paying dues Proudly shook her head and left I am me, myself and I She said to all who could hear Three of us you might think queer We feel so good I could cry The me tells me what to know A prudent person, you see Of all three me has the key From me goodness it does flow Myself holds dark secrets near Sometimes myself lets them rise A wicked wink, flash of thighs If nothing else a glass of beer I am selfish, it’s my flaw I love myself, yes I do To my own self I am true To what I am, I'm in awe A woman walks to her room Sits down in a chair and smiles Oh the ones she does beguile Takes all three to make her bloom ©January 30, 2017 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (02-11-2017 07:23 AM).] |
