The color of Christmas is blue this year My heartbroken heart can't hold any cheer Each home is decorated with bright lights But this sad ache is what fills my nights Family and friends gather round the tree Exchanging gifts and laughing merrily Outside the window I watch the snow fall Thoughts of our Christmas last year I recall The taste of your lips under mistletoe The warmth of your touch which set me aglow A promise of forever and a day These things and more have now faded away Until this heart has had time for healing Thoughts of happiness it won't be feeling My heartbroken heart can't hold any cheer The color of Christmas is blue this year © Poet In Pink https://youtu.be/r0YXt2nVMw4 |
