I changed the dates on your letters, Stella Blue, to extend our love beyond its limits
You see, I wanted to fool some future semblance of myself that may remain within your widow’s web
Afterward, I enclosed them in an old shoe box and placed it in a very dark corner of my hopeful hell

I somehow lost certain selected pages that I knew I'd never understand,
then removing words you didn't really mean, Stella...until you started making sense, that is
I also filled all those empty spaces with some things you used to say, hoping you might recall

The last of them remains unopened, knowing our ‘Schrödinger-type love’ is safely tucked inside
Oh yes, sealed tight, without the usual ‘S.W.A.K’ of yours, my 'Feral ‘Frisco Filly’...
Still, I wish I could have fixed 'us' Stella Blue, using nothing more than a little ‘White-Out’, and an uncanceled stamp

I love this Bluesy!
You have so many great phrases in here...little gems like "hopeful hell".
I really enjoy your work. ~L

You're on a roll! I'm loving every turn and twist and bump in this one.

"A very dark corner of my hopeful hell." Love that line.

Once again, Miss Pinky, you have seen clearly with the light on...or off.

I appreciate your insightful replies, here and on others. Thank you.
