Lover, last night I dreamed you were a Picasso and I was a Matisse
We were hanging on opposite gallery walls of intersecting gallery halls
I saw us being separated; you by a parade of clicking heels and I...by voyeuristic eyes
Your every angle was so stark, so severe, as peering through fragmented tears
quietly begging for my tranquility and offering me only your madness…
When I awoke, I was the Picasso and you were the Matisse
Thank goodness the gallery's Van Gogh's past,
I may have woke up in the back of it at the fish market...as a Pollack!

"offering me only your madness…"

Superb thinking here, Blue. Loved the poem, loved the starkness of it. Only wish I could arrange my thoughts together as do you.

You have yourself another winner! I'm with Jerry,
"quietly begging for my tranquility and offering me only your madness…"
is my favorite line. ~L

Thanks for sharing some of your Sunday with me, Miss Lori. I'm glad you liked this slice of it.

Now if I can just lure that sweet dish of "chopped liver" over this way...How do you suppose she knew I liked chopped liver? Hmm.
