I've got an fifteen-hole picture frame. none of the photos show my pains or shame Looking there at my first forty years, you'd think I never shed any tears On the walls only good memories you will find, I keep all the bad pictures in my mind I have a lot of albums, you can bet, but I foolishly thought some I’d better forget Yet while I gaze at your winsome smile, in my mind I recall the long, hard miles For every victory that was so sweet, I remember the bitter tears of defeat So I hang those pictures of our bygone years and wipe the glass with kisses and tears I’m mounting hopes, baby, that are soon on their way, you and I together one glorious day ...just bein' Bluesy [This message has been edited by Bluesy Socrateaser (12-02-2017 03:26 AM).] |
