Fair to middlin' of nowhere

I wish I could love you
enough to put your worries
to rest.
I wish I could assure you
so you’d have confidence
that everything will work out.
I wish that I could support you
in a way that would
give you solace.
I wish I could calm
your mind
and give you peace.
I wish that I could comfort you
and for a few minutes
make it all go away.

Beautifully worded poem of love to another. This is very special, and I wish those things for him and especially for you.

~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~

Thank you very much Jerry. It has been a long haul of feeling helpless for both of us.
He is getting better every day but still has a long way to go before he gets his umph back
He is impatient to get out of the recliner. I
truly appreciate your concern. ~L

If I were to wish for something relative to your loving poetry, Lori Rhoden, I would wish that 'he' read it before I did.

Bluesy,
I read it to him when I posted it. It hit home. He wishes the same thing. ~L

Some words are not read . . .

they're simply felt
on they way to the heart . . .
