Dried logs crackling in the fire we two lay before,
capturing this bank of warmth, so close together, lover

The lights are out, yet the candles quietly illuminate,
sending shadow dancer’s ‘cross the floor

A golden glow emanates from the hearth,
like the golden aura that surrounds you, my angel

We lay together in each other's arms, drifting peacefully
away in slumbers on the rug before the fire

Our bodies spooned side by side, our hearts intertwined,
beating as one as I love you’s rise with the heat

Bluesy,
What an idyllic scene! How Perfect! I can just see the big Wisconsin snowflakes falling outside. Your romantic self has out done itself. ~L

The Northwoods is "idyllic" this time of year, Miss Lori. The air is cold and crispy, having a taste all its own. I no longer live there, but I make it back from time to time. It's a short ways due east of Winter, Wisconsin, high in the Pine forest.

Yes, Miss Pinky...we all need "a warm and cozy feeling". My hope is that you have them in abundance.

I appreciate and thank you for your visits.
