Flaming stars dance on sundial faces as pulsating sounds echo from far away places Lovers’ pursued down a never-ending staircase, like a dog in pursuit of his tail Wondering why the pendulum swings while their minds have captured an inanimate thing A Queen of hearts in a mechanical sling, as a treasonous knight deals the Crimson Stained King Fireflies weave helpless through electrified wings as his soul escapes from a body that sings Unaware that his thoughts had been betrayed... the Crimson King’s mind was so easily swayed ...just bein' Bluesy |
