Since You're Gone Diamond hard sunrise streams I'm suspended in the candle wax residue of dreams the sandman has been more than generous and love like an open wound is my personal Everest tell myself the summit is near today and every single day since you're gone Struck down on trying in the dead heat of the night oh I'm in too deep the path is steep understand the difference of scars and insight hear the hollow sounds of my footsteps at dawn since you're gone Words fail daylight rings hollow in my eyes fare thee well my love fare the well your weather still clings to my lawn like eyelash tears since you're gone since you've disappeared everything feels so tired and lonely here without you without you Diamond clear daylight shines I'm suspended in the webbing of my own design a swallow in the dark comes on like a train and love like a broken smile hurts just like autumn rain promised you I would change last night and every damn night since you're gone Struck dead on flying in the dead cold of the day oh I'm in too deep the path is steep understand the difference of work and play hear the hollow sound of my heartbeat at dawn since you're gone Diamond soft sunset burns I'm suspended in the dizzying nighttime blur it clings to me in the deafening silence and love like a bloody bandage was my first offense convince my heart the pain will ease tomorrow and every day from now on since you're gone since you're gone you're gone gone |
