Gracefully she flowed, entwined Along her tattered path Flowing deeply, and wide at times Others, a narrow wrath Falling off the cliffs with grace Alight, she was reprieved Gathered, she was bound for that place The river never leaves Her journey, hard fought, has ended The bitter tears have cried Swept away into the ocean By that September tide Miss you mom.... This is wonderfully warm and touching. What a beautiful way to describe your Mom's life. I know she is proud of you and you miss her terribly. Bless your heart. ~L |

Beautiful, touching, excellent poem. I know just how that feels. I lost my mom 6 years ago... has it really been that long... Every time I try to write a poem or song about her, and what she meant to me, I'm unhappy with my words and toss it. Words fail, I suppose. I therefore commend you for your lovely tribute to her. so beautifully written and felt, a wonderful dedication to someone who loved you very much...we never fully appreciate our mothers until we become adults ourselves. |
