My grandson’s name is Case. He always has a smile on his face. Today is his 1st Birthday Party bash. I know it will be badash Because Momma has done 3 for big sister that were something to see. I can just imagine she’ll out do herself for Daddy’s boy, little stud muffin, with a smile of an elf. There will be a mountain of gifts for his birthday, and I can’t wait to hear what jibber-jabber and words he’ll say. Nana can’t wait to hug and kiss him and hope he doesn’t cry. Me and haircuts do that to him, I don’t know why. We are bringing Great-grandpa with us too so he can celebrate his latest great turning one with you. LGR©10/8/17 |

he is a BIG boy, wears size 2 already! Got big hands and feet! If he grows up to be like his grandpa on his Mommy's side, he'll be a football player for sure. A Jayhawk of course. ~L |

When I look into a child's eyes, I wonder and I wonder about all those eyes will see and interpret. Will those little fingers be called to embrace a trigger or a pen? Maybe a 70-yard pass securing a championship..."for the Jayhawks" of course! ...just bein' Bluesy |

Ah, with a cool grandmother such as you, Lori, Case will grow up knowing the inner workings of a truly fantastic grandmother. He will have wisdom to draw from and save for his rainy day. He will have the best of both worlds. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Bluesy, The grandkids live a couple hours away and their Mom and Dad (my son) keep busy doing that family thing so we don't see them very often. How does that old saying go about a man takes a wife but a woman is a daughter all her life? The Gkids are known for being happy and sweet. So this here Nana lives for the Birthday parties and Xmas break. My daughter-in-law is a great mom. ~L |

Hey thanks for the feedback LeeJ. I have to be careful that my family stories don't make the reader feel like they are watching someone else's home movie. By the way, it was a great party and he did cry (but not just with me)~L |

Well thank you Jerry, but it may take a few years for him to get to know me, let alone realize I'm cool. That's okay. I have a book to leave behind. Mom's parents are really well off and they are always doing cool stuff with the kids. I thank God they lack nothing and have a safety net we can't provide.I couldn't wish better for them. ~L |
