I wish I can, for one moment lie still, lose myself among a pile of leaves grubbing a hole on the ground stay hidden from everyone's eyes. I can listen, with no haste to the gentle rain dripping quietly on grass the tide waters breaking on wave-washed stones the chirring of birds settling on their nests. So long as this pile of leaves is undisturbed I can cease sorting through a maze of emotions relive the past with no regrets, meld myself into perfect, painless oblivion And I can convince myself there is no sword hanging over me ready to chop me to pieces there is a time to indulge in silence. @jjote 01/31/2017 |

How many times have I found myself, after raking leaves into a pile, only to take a running jump into the very top of it, and thrash around like crazy. Ah, you brought back some beautiful memories, jjote. Thank you. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

When a person can restrict their busier thoughts for a time and instead think of those moments when simple things had such clarity, as your pile of leaves, they are on the path that leads to peace. ...just bein' Bluesy |
