Rocking Autumn |

I sit here in my rocking chair Slowly rocking to and fro Feasting upon a fall sun~set With a candy~apple glow My potted mums start to shimmy As a crispness bites the breeze Sparrows softly tweet thier prayers As they bed down in the trees Fire~pit flames do the tango Writhing in Septembers chill Casting out flickering shadows Which dance wild upon the hill The days are much shorter now Old man winters on his way For now I'm going to treasure Each beautiful Autumn day © Poet In Pink |

Me too, I plan on observing and enjoying this beautiful weather we now have, Alana. Soon it will be swallowed by winter's rage. Nice work. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

The colors of Autumn provide many a muse, as does Spring...both of which tease the runners on my own, old caned rocker. Splendid imagery Pinky, that brings it all home. BTS ...just bein' Bluesy |

Nice, my friend! We're feeling Autumn down here too, been wonderful, but the humidity is suppose to be setting in pretty good in next few days . . . yuk! Love the 30 to 50 percent range SO MUCH MORE than the 90 percent ranges or more. Even though, I never figured out how when it pouring rain and L & T, how we can have a humidity reading of 85 or so percent. . . Enjoyed, j. |

You do indeed have a "candy~apple glow" Miss Pinky. Just thought I'd stop by to rock with ya awhile. As you can see by my image, time has reclaimed it's 'glow', leaving me looking more like a 'candied~yam'. But that's okay. Miranda's veranda stretches three-quarters 'round the house, so I've more places to hide, depending on the time of day. If ya hear some heavy crunching sounds Pinky, that's be me crackin' walnuts under yer' runners! Rock on Toots! Be c'n ya! It aint the sweet smell of success wafting below your nose... |
