There it still sits our bench of dreams
Nothing has changed or so it seems
Autumn glows in its gleaming hue
The only thing missing is you

Vibrant colors dance in the breeze
A kaleidoscope in the trees
Tangerine orange and flaming red
Falling softly upon my head

I envision us sitting there
So in love and without a care
Snuggled close your hand within mine
Feasting on your kisses divine

Mirrored reflections of the past
A happiness that did not last
There is no rhyme nor no reason
Just an ache that haunts this season

Time moves on beauty remains
As leaves fall free so shall my chains
Time to live and find love anew
Yet my heart will always hold you

The missing is tangible, the memories of a love lost pulls at my heart strings.

Seasons change in predictable ways, but who can predict the ways of the human heart? That's where dreams and faith intervene...and they meet to talk it over on your nostalgic "bench of dreams".

There appears to be room for three.
