Your Eyes

As a bee sting rain conquers the evening side
I watch the stars fall in your eyes
washing every pent up emotion away
so this is how I know I'm going to stay
walking six inches off the street
to a place where all the young lovers meet
just one last puzzle piece
then I'll see my dreams complete

Shaped by the soft pounding rain
in your touch
I'm a man anew set sailing again
it's too much
but I can never get enough
just a glance of your eyes
and you've called my bluff

Your eyes
kingdoms rise and fall
but in your eyes
a fire that never dies
it never fades at all

As a birdcall sun ignites the morningside
I watch the clouds part in your eyes
the light pours majestic like the finest wine
so this is how I'm going to fall from the vine
smiling a hundred miles long
incessantly humming my favorite song
love memorized by heart
and I'll see my dreams as art

Shaped by the soft pounding rain
in your touch
I'm a man anew set sailing again
it's too much
but I can never get enough
just a glance of your eyes
and you've called my bluff

Your eyes
angels run and play
deep in your eyes
a fire that never dies
never will it fade away

And this is how I know I'm going to stay
walking six inches off the street
to a place where all the young lovers meet
just one last puzzle piece
then I'll see my dreams complete

I loved this! It was such a celebration of discovery and love.

only one small critique-

"Shaped by the soft pounding rain"

Soft and pounding contradict each other. ~L
