I should be sleeping It’s three in the morning for crying out loud! Some reasonable people call that the middle of the night. So why am I here writing away? Well, nature called us one and all. I am the doorman for the animals that expect to have their breakfast waiting for them when they come back in. I am the great coffee maker on auto pilot. I am unreasonably alert and clear headed. I know in a few hours I’ll be wanting to crash and burn about the time I should be getting up. But until then, I feel like I’m peaking for the day. Ain’t that a kick in the pants. And it is not like this is the first time, I’ve been getting up like this all summer. But this is a Monday and therein lies the rub. I think I’ll need a 5hr Energy to stay alert, I have so much to do at work. However inconvenient these mornings be, matters not to me. I love these early mornings to myself, just me and my poetry. I never know where my words will take me or what maze of emotions my Muse will put me through. This is my Happy Hour or two. I’m living my Dream being the who that I am, doing the what that I do. Ahhh . . . I can't deal with that, if I wake up at three in the morning, I go right back to sleep after using the potty. If not, there are not enough 5hr Energy drinks to make me feel human. But you're right, you've been doing this quite a lot lately. As long as it works for you. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

My blood sugar was right on target this morning and I made it through the day just fine. Granted I was really busy and time just flew. Didn't need the 5hr Energy at all. ~L |

Happy Hour indeed! lol You are just getting up at 3 and sometimes I am just going to bed at that time!!! lol I say take the quiet times and enjoy them as much as possible  Sleep is over-rated anyway!! lol Much enjoyed ~ Alana |

Pinkasnooze, Now that school is in session and I am back at work and can no longer take an afternoon nap, it is cramping my early morning style. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and just sat in a stupor. It will be interesting to see what my body will decide to do on Saturday morning. ~L |

Since I've been back to work, those early hours aren't coming anymore. Maybe I spoiled myself, but I'm finding it difficult to write unless I have peace and quiet. so I'm writing a little less. It is always a pleasure to hear from you, thank you! ~L |
