Johanna Most of the time I wander between the stones. Allen, over there, died just yesterday. Helen, two stones over, one-hundred thirteen years ago. And you, baby, at my feet, I've loved you so much, since then: yet, my feet wander when I'm here, between the stones, down the side of the hill, back up again, and over there to the left, and the north, in and out, between and past, the stones that always lead me back to the one at my feet, the stone my hand gently rubs washing away the dust with my tears. The stone that says Johanna Born - May 3, 1943 Died - . . . Not until you Pass within me.

A graveyard of memories, most of them sad memories, but even sadness can be accompied by love and happy thoughts of before. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Wandering through and wondering...You write of passage so well. The void, yet movement. A very touching poem. misce' |
