Of Love and Spring The edge of this forest-world is dark and silent like the edge of the twilight sea. The cicada sing their sad lament to another Summer passing. There is a first touch of Autumn in the evening air. One greets the thought of Winter with sad memories of all things that should have been but never were; and yet, this fine Summer moon, above the lonely journey of the ‘now,’ conjures the finest hopes and dreams of Love and Spring as yet to come. --- b. e. adams (8/10/2017) |

Yep,the seasons are much like a life lived. We, like the seasons, go through stages, happy and carefree like spring, nurting like summer. Then like fall we begin to fade slightly, only to be devoured come winter. Enjoyed this one. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
