Riding on a Raindrop Riding on a raindrop, down I plop, drip drop, hitching on a passing cloud puffed by wind and blow. I wait to plunge with speed that’s madly gripped by Earth’s relentless gravity’s pull and tug which let me know when’s time to jump, when’s time to go! I leap! I pass resisting air! I speed like comets do with flair provided now with spatial berth to rocket race to Mother Earth and bring to animal, birds and bees a liquid love on which to feed, and to the plants some needed friends; two hydrogen atoms and oxygen. I crash with impact on a leaf. I bounce and tumble without grief down to a face, fresh in the wind. I bring out wet a smile within. My journey’s now almost complete, fulfilled I am, these epic feats which lastly make one more demand, my final drip that feeds the land. Namyh |

lovely images Namyh. I'd never thought riding on a raindrop could be that exhilarating or fulfilling. |

jjote – Now I’m kinda glad I wrote about riding a raindrop rather than that thunderbolt I had in mind. Whoa! So very glad to inject a fulfilling exhilaration into your day with this work. Makes a poet mighty proud. Captain Namyh of the starship Raindrop….over and out! Thanks jjote. |

Alana – So very happy you stopped in here at the Raindrop Ranch where you can ride a rainbow to your heart’s content so that when the next raindrop hits the face, you can look up and say…”Namyh was that you?”. LOL. Thanks Alana for the pinklishness. It always invigorates! Namyh |

James – When next I saddle up and ride a Raindrop, you’re invited to strap in and experience the unrelenting transportive exhilaration of a ‘long and wide’ plummet to Earth at accelerations only matched by space travel and Captain Kirk. Now there’s an “Enterprise” for ya! LOL. Okay,Okay, I’ll stop! Thanks James for spendin’ a spell here and enjoying. Namyh |

S1nfully_1nn0c3nt – We should gather our “lovely spring days”, both sunny and rainy, before they’re all gone. Hope this helps when it rains, pours and the Sun comes out. Thanks SI for stopping in and gettin’ a little poetic paint on ya. Namyh |

For some reason, I've been reading a lot of poems about "rain" on piptalk today. This piece is well crafted, with excellent imagery and storytelling. You can vividly see the raindrop's journey from the clouds all the way to the soil. Keep on painting with words! |
