Remembering My Friend I lost a dear friend today. One whom traveled all the roads of life with me: One who never argued, complained, just silently stayed with me when I waded in swamp water to my hips; Went to church, bars, worked in my yard, cut trees, cut grass when it was wet with rain or dew, and was there, close by, when I got married, and was always there through hard times, good times, the times when I needed to be alone, but know there was always a friend close by that would be with me no matter what far-flung whim I needed to follow. and the death of the sole of my favorite boots will affect me forever. . . . ©wesley james beard, jr. june 3, 2017 |

It is true, then... All good things come to an end. Well written and thoroughly enjoyed. |
