From deep within my sleep he beckons me awake. My slumber muddled mind tries to discern his wanting. My first thought is food or water, but he pawed the bed and not the door instead. That can only mean one thing. A storm approaches that thunder brings. So at my feet he wants to sleep all cozy to my toes. Back to oblivion my mind goes, as he continues to quiver and quake till the storm blows away. Then the alarm goes off and he sleeps in while I start my day. |

Hah! I used to have a darn mutt that at the first sound of thunder came looking to crawl under the covers with me also. WoW! Brought back memories. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Last night it was firecrackers somewhere to the north of us. If it happens again tonight, I'm calling the police. |

I once thought that "living a dog's life" was a derogatory phrase. I soon learned different. Hail Winston! Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here... |

Well Jerry, I'm glad he doesn't need to be under the covers, its bad enough he wants to be "close" to me. ~L |
