Wishing On A Star By Paul Wilson Every night right before I go to bed I go outside and look at the stars I wonder if you can see them I tell you good night and I love you It seem like an eternity since you left Leaving behind just your memory To fill the loneliness in my heart I talk to you each day I know you feel my words in your heart When it rains I think of you Because that was your favorite time And wish you were here with me I hear your voice calling me from afar Am I crazy or am I wishing on a star I read your favorite poems Remembering how much you liked them I play your favorite music And sing along like we use to do I look at your picture everyday When will my heart stop hurting? When will the loneliness end? When will we look at the stars together? When will we again share the memories we made? When will God reunite us again? So much has changed since you left Some good and some bad The most important thing Is I know you are happy once again And that’s all that matters Copy Righted 1/25/2021 ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |
