Escapades of a Young Boy By Paul Wilson Threw pennies into wishing wells Made wishes on falling stars Dreamed of faraway places Like Venus, Jupiter and Mars Was a boy of eight when I fought in the holy wars Stood with the Templars As they battled the Czars Drank from the holy challis Till I was full and content I’ve fought with Satan till I was exhausted Asked God for strength in time of my discontent Sailed the seven seas with Black Beard Plundered treasures of the rich Was buried in a watery grave Burned in Salem for being a witch Rode with outlaws of the Wild West Fought Indians with the seventh Calvary Joined my brothers at Gettysburg Died when I was twenty three Navigated the stars to a new world Left this place called earth Watched from above as it exploded As I celebrated my rebirth My mind hangs on a star Consuming all that I see Reliving memories of my life Wishing you were here with me Copy Righted 12-29-2020 ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (12-30-2020 02:35 PM).] |

Excellent, Paul! I am sure that we must have crossed paths in some of those similar adventures. Write on! |
