Cancer 011 Blues Nile* Listening to Blues Nile - John Hassell, ethereal to say the least, especially with closed eyes, mind tuned to hear only its voice, heart beating slow beats, soul floating in that space between life, and death. Half-way through now. no longer hearing . . . only feeling, floating in the vastness of space, of time It's Christmas Day - How many more will I see. Blues Nile It speaks to me, today. © wesley james beard, jr. december 26, 2020 Blues Nile - song by John Hassell (on youtube) [This message has been edited by jwesley (12-27-2020 03:53 PM).] |

James...Sounds ethereal like you said. Loved the visions you describe in this poem. Getting lost in the mood and music is a beautiful thing. We never know how many more Christmases we have, we just have to enjoy what we have and hope and pray another will be granted to us. Stay strong my friend...Pasul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

I read this, listened to the song, and read this again. Maybe it's my mood, but for the song, I find it to be ominous. Your words...the ending...I wonder the same thing, but for different reasons. Enjoyed! "I know this love will tear me to pieces |
