A Little Note on Voice…and Truth, Or Just a Lemming's Song Is it the truth that you believe? Or that which you decide? Is it possible we deceive Ourselves with the implied? We read well in-between the lines, Then draw our certainties. To claim it’s the past that defines Us, almost certainly. It the devil in the detail That stings a little bit, When it’s not truth that we avail, Just a truth we’ve made fit. And in these desperate times the lies Sprout everywhere you turn. So, my friend, please don’t shade your eyes When the world around you burns. No, stop and take a closer look, Pretend that time has stopped. Maybe recall the steps you took, Before that match was dropped. The shifty eyes dart side to side, What’s there to circumvent? If for a buck, if just for pride, What leads the derangement? The lemmings out, to dance the fates Of every honest man. The world in doubt, the box awaits, What is your master Plan? First time in years there’s been a choice, At least for opened eyes. Michael...Like your Lemming's song. A little political rhyme I assume. We shall see. The box will tell our fate The absentee may hold the key So little time left don't be late Who will lead America our country? Lol...ty for poking your head in here Paul. I get a lil leary of voicing political anything here... just a nit intrigued thaqt there are so many different versions of the same truths out there these days. Every one is a die hard believer in their own truth...so much so they never take the time to analyze any one else's. No matter what the results are tonight, I can pretty much assure the the know-it-alls will have won...and lost too, depending on which know-it-alls you ask. Michael |

Michael...You are so right my friend. The know it all's will always take credit for the win or cry foul if they lose. In my backwards state of Mississippi a bill to allow medical marijuana passed finally now the news just said it will take at least a year to get everything in place and then at least 6 to 12 months before it's available even though Mississippi has the only Federally legal pot farm in America in production at University of Ms.a lot of people that could use this help has to wait 2 years Thats crazy Take care my friend...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |
