Lost Angeles

Little Miss Nothing
I don't know what you mean
about all the boys and this scene
with you and your butterfly blue jeans
where are you going to?

Queen without a crown
I agree it's a big scary town
but look you've let yourself drown
in that river where we all can be found
sometimes when we're blue

I'm watching you closely
by your moves I can tell
that where you've been is worse than hell
I'm hoping against all hoping
that it's not too late
that you're headed for a far better fate
there's so much more you can be
are you listening to me?

Little Miss Vacancy
it's another man's backseat
and in your tranquil inner sea
you move in rhythm to an Aretha reverie
what are you gonna do?

Compass without a north
you must be thinking what's it all worth
in this city there's little hope for rebirth
but you're not the only lonely one on earth
that's small comfort but it's true

I'm watching you closely
by your moves I can tell
that where you've been is worse than hell
I'm hoping against all hoping
that it's not too late
that you're headed for a far better fate
there's so much more you could do
are my words reaching you?

Little Miss Nothing
where are you going to?
in this big scary town
what are you going to do?
Queen without a crown
searching the debris of you for something true
I know it's still there inside you
the courage to move your heart like a mountain
stepping lightly in between the rain
c'mon crawl out of this mess
you can do this
oh little Miss Lost Angeles

soul drifter...Really enjoyed this. So many young girls get swallowed up by big cities.
They come full of dreams and plans and those dreams and plans go up in smoke just so they can survive. Thanks for sharing...Paul

Souls, "stepping lightly in between the rain"
liked that line, & especially the play of words on the Title.

Well done..

Sky~

"...searching the debris of you for something true..."

This is my favorite line.

The whole thing reminds me of runaways in movies.

An epidemic of the mannequins
Contaminating everything"

I have seen her.  Little Miss Can't fill the Void is the name I would give her.  Sad to see such need and know it will never be filled in the direction she is heading.
